Malargüe, in southern Mendoza, is a base for exploring volcanic landscapes, protected areas, the Andes and science-focused attractions. Its official visitor circuits include Route 40 (Caverna de las Brujas), Route 222 (Las Leñas and the mountain valleys), Route 186 (La Payunia and Llancanelo), and Route 145 toward Paso Pehuenche.
